At the November 2023 Public OPIRG Brock Board Meeting, the Board of Directors passed a proposal outlining our commitments to showing solidarity with Palestine. These include the following action items and long-term commitments:

• Signed onto the ad-hoc CeasefireNOW coalition.

n

• Coordinating community marshalls and police liaisons for Palestinian Solidarity actions in Niagara.

n

• Supporting the Queer Muslim Resistance and the Gender Affirming Assistance Project Sticker Fundraiser.

n

• Supporting Palestine Solidarity initiatives in Niagara and using our platforms and network to promote local actions and educational resources.

n

• Discontinuing our use of Israeli software company Wix, and investing in a more ethical website hosting alternative.

n

• Researching the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement and developing an action plan to potentially amend the OPIRG Brock Ethical Purchasing Policy.
